Watch TV on Campus with SpectrumU
SpectrumU lets you watch live TV and on‑demand content from your personal devices—anywhere on campus.
✅ How to Get Started
- Connect to the campus network
- Download the SpectrumU app, or
- Visit SpectrumUTV.com in your browser
👉 No login is required when connected to the campus network
📱 Supported Devices
The following devices and OS version numbers are currently supported:
- Android smartphones and tablets running Android 5 or above
- iPhone, iPad or iPod touch running iOS 12 or above
- Kindle Fire Phone and all Kindle Fire models except for the 1st generation model
- Mac: Safari 7 or higher, Firefox 45 or higher or Chrome 43 or higher
- PC: IE 11, Chrome 43 or higher, Firefox 45 or higher or MS Edge 12 or higher
- Apple TV: All fourth and fifth generation devices and tvOS version 13.0 or higher
- Chromecast: First and second generation devices
- Roku: All third-generation players and TVs
👉 If your TV isn’t supported, use:
- A Roku or Apple TV, OR
- Connect a laptop via HDMI

🛠️ Quick Troubleshooting
App not working?
- Confirm you’re on CruNet WiFi
- Make sure you downloaded “SpectrumU” (not Spectrum TV)
- Restart the app/device
Buffering or freezing?
- Try another device (phone or laptop)
- Use an ethernet cable if possible
- Restart your device
Can’t find the app on your TV?
- That’s expected for many smart TVs
- Use Roku, Apple TV, or a laptop instead
