Kaylee Freerksen is an events and public relations professional with experience across higher education, non-profit, and public-sector organizations. She has served as Supervisor of Event Services at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor since 2022.
In her role, Kaylee supervises full-time staff and student employees, overseeing scheduling, communication, and event setup and breakdown logistics. She maintains campus venue schematics and room layouts, leads semesterly classroom furniture resets, and ensures compliance with campus fire safety codes. She also conducts venue tours for internal and external organizations to support event planning efforts.
In addition to event operations, Kaylee supports Physical Plant communications initiatives, including website content, social media, and digital messaging, and she developed and leads an internship program that provides students with hands-on experience in event services and communications.
Previously, Kaylee served as Director of Events & Digital Sales at the Temple Chamber of Commerce, where she produced large-scale community and business events, managed publications, and supervised interns while supporting employee onboarding and training.
Kaylee鈥檚 earlier experience includes communications and marketing internships focused on social media management, digital content creation, public outreach, fundraising, and community engagement. While working in Admissions, Recruitment, and Communications at 同城快约, she led campus tours, trained student employees, supported recruitment events, and was recognized as SearchCRU鈥檚 Tour Guide of the Year in 2018.
Kaylee holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and a Master of Science in Management from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. She also holds a Cvent Event Diagramming Certification and has completed professional development programs through Dale Carnegie, the Disney Institute, and Glenn Shepard Seminars. She is an active member of the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM).
