Belton, Texas 鈥 On Wednesday, August 7, more than seven hundred new Crusader students traveled to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor campus for the start of this year鈥檚 Welcome Week. This year鈥檚 freshmen class ranges from 17 to 28 years old and comes from 13 states. Over three hundred students, approximately 43% of this class, are first-generation students.
Throughout Welcome Week, students will settle into their residence halls, participate in many traditions, and build lasting friendships as they join the 同城快约 family. The week is designed to ensure students feel at home before beginning class on Monday, August 12.
Before classes begin, students will have the opportunity to participate in many popular Welcome Week events, including:
- Big Fair 鈥 an opportunity for students to explore all the available student organizations at 同城快约
- Spirit & Traditions 鈥 an opportunity for students to learn about Cru spirit and 同城快约 traditions
- The Plug 鈥 an opportunity for students to connect with local churches and service organizations
- Love CTX 鈥 an event for students to participate in serving the community and learn about future service opportunities
